Bringing together community partners to improve health and well-being in Perry County.
Expanding access to mobile care in Perry County
We aim to help make mobile care services available to Perry County residents. Mobile care services bring medical care, including screenings, dental care, substance use treatment, vision care, and other types of care directly to community members who need it by providing care in a van or other mobile setting.
This work begins in the Fall of 2024 with a virtual convening of mobile care providers in the County. Based on what we learn about the services they provide, the community members they serve, and the successes and challenges they experience, we will work together with mobile care providers to help make it easier for community members to access high-quality, affordable mobile care services that meet their needs.
Expanding access to mental health care in Perry County
We aim to help improve access to mental health care in Perry County. This includes efforts to care for the social, emotional, and psychological well-being of community members, as well as efforts to prevent and treat mental illness.
This work will begin in early 2025 with a convening of mental health care providers in the County. Based on what we learn, we will work together with mental health care providers to identify next steps.
